Dan Moneghan leads work at EPRI on advanced reactor technologies and fuel cycles. In this collaborative research area, Dan works with universities, national labs, and multiple industry partners to support maturation of technology options for all phases in the nuclear fuel cycle. The goal of the Advanced Nuclear Technology program this research sits within is to accelerate the deployment of nuclear energy around the world. Dan’s educational background started at Virginia Tech with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, transitioning to a Masters and PhD in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Florida and at North Carolina State University.
