GCCIA-led delegation to Germany and Belgium
EPRI Gulf joined a GCC Interconnection Authority (GCCIA)-led delegation to Germany and Belgium The visit brought together power sector experts from across the Gulf and Europe to exchange insights on electricity market design, system operations, and grid stability.
GCC Power CIGRE Event
EPRI Gulf participated in the GCC Power CIGRE event in Kuwait, where Technical Executive Gergo Varhegyi presented his my paper “Improving Grid Stability under High Renewable Penetration: Optimal Flexibility Reserve Provision Using Short- and Long-Duration Energy Storage Technologies.”
Oracle Utilities Summit MENA
EPRI Gulf participated in the Oracle Utilities Summit MENA in Dubai in November. The Summit gathered regional leaders to focus on customer experience, asset management, and the rapid expansion of AI in utility operations.
HIL Protection Testing Platform
EPRI and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) collaborated to implement a High-Fidelity-Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) Protection Testing Platform at SEC's R&D Center in Dhahran.
